Contract Length: Full Time – 2 years Contract with 6-months probationary period

The role

We have an opportunity for a Senior Advisor role for 2 years full time contract but with the expectation that, in line with our plans for team growth, the role would become permanent.

The position will play a key role in shaping our work in the UK and Europe, as well as connecting with our global teams and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning and delivery of high-quality evaluations, evidence synthesis and other work to apply evidence in service development and improvement, informed by and advancing implementation science.
  • Lead new funding applications, secure new business and build excellent relationships with funders and collaborators.

Key capabilities

  • Extensive experience of designing and conducting mixed-methods research, ideally including randomised controlled trials and/or rigorous quasi-experimental designs.
  • Experience of evidence synthesis.
  • Strong skills in managing complex, multi-stranded projects to a high standard.
  • Experience of working with organisations and agencies to support their take-up of evidence
  • A proven track record in securing large grants and contracts.
  • Strong skills in evidence translation – making evidence accessible, meaningful and engaging to varied audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work in a positive and empowering way with others and to develop team members.

Experience of applying implementation science principles is desirable but not essential. This is a key feature of our work and the post provides rich development and learning opportunities in this area. You’ll have very strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and be committed to developing a strong organisational culture built on social justice values. You want to see evidence used to make a difference.

You’ll have a postgraduate degree in a health or social science or related discipline, or equivalent level of scholarship achieved through experience.
